Upcycle a Button-Up Shirt: Intermediate Sewing on the Machine

Get started refashioning an oversized button-up shirt into a stylish smock top in this 2 hour, evening class. Unlock thrift shop potential, and learn to rearrange an oxford button-up shirt into something you'll love to wear! Start a Pleated Smock or learn Shirring to change the shape of the original shirt, we may not finish this project in 2 hours, but you can get started on your upcycle project! Students should be comfortable threading their machine and sewing straight lines.

Required Materials: Button-Up shirt at least 2 sizes larger than your own. Matching Thread color. Bring your own machine, or reserve one from the Design Center.
