Legally Involved Volunteers

We are happy to welcome any volunteers over the age of 18 that are needing to work lawyer-recommended or court-ordered hours at The Scrap Exchange. There is no need to call ahead of time, but please do choose your desired time slots via the below form. You must sign up via the below portal in order to volunteer at The Scrap Exchange.

When you arrive to volunteer, there is a blue binder at the welcome table in the Reuse Center labeled “Legally Involved Volunteers”. Please begin a sign-in sheet and file it under your last name. This will be where you keep track of your hours worked each time you come in.

When you have completed your assigned hours, let the Volunteer Coordinator know and we’ll write you a Certification of Hours Completed letter. We recommend getting ahead of your hours. You must indicate that you are legally involved when signing up otherwise you will not be provided an hours tracking sheet or letter. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to add up and keep track of their hours worked.
