Intro to Sewing on the Machine: Hemming

Welcome to part 2 of introduction to machine sewing Hemming addition.

We are all about fashion sustainability so the goal of this class is to teach people how to extend the life expectancy of their clothes and to feel confident in their new and improved threads! Hemming is a sewing technique that finishes the edge of fabric which will prevent fraying (fabric having loose threads at the bottom) and adjust the length of your garment. Usually you will do this on garments such as shirts, skirts, pants etc. This is a very common and useful skill in the world of sewing.

Please bring your own garments, machines, sewing materials etc. Machines and sewing materials will be provided as well as a few practice garments to practice on.

Fee: $40
