Upcycled Postcards

Make your own postcard from household waste! Old cereal box? Empty canned soda box? Give it new life as a handmade postcard!

I'll bring templates for making the postcards, as well as completed cards for folks that just want to get to writing.

You'll leave this workshop with a template for making more postcards and hands on experience to help build that muscle memory.
_______
Why make postcards?

Postcards are an economical way to reach out to a friend and let them know you've been thinking about them. Having a physical item can really help folks connect with each other.

Another great use for postcards is writing your representatives. Physical mail is a little harder to ignore VS digital mail. Let your reps know what's important to you. I'll include a little info packet about the reps local to our area, including some recommended scripts and addresses.
_____
All materials are included, but here are some things you can bring if you'd like:

You are welcome to bring chipboard (look for: cereal boxes, soda can boxes, and frozen meal boxes) from your own recycling bin and I'll walk you through breaking them down.

Got a bunch of postcard stamps you'd like to share? Feel free to bring them.

You're favorite writing pen!
