Join us in creating some awesome and "wild" reduction linocut prints! In this workshop, students will learn about reductive printmaking, the process of creating a multicolor blockprint where both colors are printed from the same block at different stages. For this process, students will carve once into their block, print (usually the lighter of their two-color design), and then carve a second later before printing on top of the first layer. The block is "reduced" by carving into areas where the student wants to print the second color. This class is primarily for those who have already taken an "Introduction to Blockprinting" class, or who have learned the basics of blockprinting previously and want to expand their skills. (However, if a student would like to take this class without previous experience, the instructor is happy to discuss options!) The class is also themed around animals - so bring your "wildest" ideas!
Fee: $35
