The Make N’ Take room

Step into a room bursting with creative possibility! The Make N' Take Room holds over 30 barrels of preloved crafting materials, from bottlecaps and foam pool noodles to film canisters and beyond, plus shelves and bins stocked with twist ties, pipe cleaners, buttons, and more. Crafters have full access to tools like scissors, tape, staplers, and glue guns throughout their session to design and build a one-of-a-kind reuse art masterpiece to take home.

Drop-In Crafting

Drop into the Make N' Take Room any time during open hours and dig through over 30 barrels of preloved crafting materials, from bottlecaps and pool noodles to buttons and pipe cleaners. Grab scissors, tape, a glue gun, and whatever sparks your imagination, then craft a one-of-a-kind reuse masterpiece to take home. Perfect for a rainy afternoon, a teacher workday treat, or anytime you're feeling creative. crafters ages 4+ welcome!

*Pay at the Register prior to crafting

We kindly ask that if you are planning a Birthday party, field trip or private event to please book the room for use before planning an impromptu visit. This helps our staff greatly!

Make N’ Take hours

The Make N’ Take room hours vary weekly based on bookings for birthday parties, field trips and private events. But will be open anytime that the room is not in-use for a booked event.

*Mongo does not book the Make N’ Take room for private events on Sundays, This means that Sundays are a guaranteed day to purchase drop in crafting during store hours!

Mongo’s Rules of Make N’ Take

  1. No glue, paint, or glitter. Too messy!

  2. No running, climbing, or making weapons.

  3. Return unused materials to the correct barrel or shelf.

  4. Recycle all paper and plastic bits that cannot be returned to their original place.

  5. Make N' Take challenges you to use what you have available here to make scrap magic. If you need something that is not already in the room, please purchase it from the store.

  6. All children must be accompanied by a grown-up.

  7. The grown-up kit is just for grown-up use.

  8. Clean up after yourselves when you are finished, please! Throw away, return, or recycle all unused items. Make sure to check under tables and chairs.

  9. Make art! Not trash! Have fun!
