Third Friday Durham Celebrates The Scrap Exchange's 35th Birthday with Giant Mongo Puppet by Jeghetto, Live Music & More at CCB Plaza

Get ready for a night of dancing, celebration and sustainable art!

Join us at CCB Plaza in downtown Durham for an evening with Mongo, The Scrap Exchange’s beloved blue mascot, brought to life by Jeghetto’s Entertainment (Tarish Pipkins) with live music from Emma Jane and also DJ MARRS spinning tunes.

We’ll also celebrate The Scrap Exchange’s birthday — with treats, a pop-up cardboard art installation by Jason Lord, a giant birthday card to sign and more! Let’s celebrate 35 years of nurturing creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse.

Don’t forget to explore the incredible galleries and artists throughout downtown Durham during Third Friday.
