Tiny Treats: Pru the Pug Takes the Grand Tour

By Molly

Some days at The Scrap Exchange bring a truckload of donated fabric. Some days bring a box of vintage buttons. And some days, if we’re very lucky, bring a pug.

Meet Prudence! She belongs to Molly, our Retail and Sales Manager, and her husband Danny, our Donations Coordinator, and when she came along to work recently, she decided it was time for a full inspection of the premises. (Technically, her mom does run the sales floor, so it’s really more of a family business.)

Like any good maker, Pru started her day at Make and Take, getting her creative juices flowing. From there she headed to the blue buckets for a little treasure hunting, then made her way over to the scrap fabric, where she didn’t just browse, she got right to work and cut some fabric of her own. We’re still waiting to see what she makes with it.

Next stop was the toy section, where Pru made a brand-new friend. Then it was on to Scraptique, where she settled in and read some books, because every busy pug needs a little quiet time.

But the tour wasn’t over yet! Pru headed over to Thrift, popped into the dressing room, and tried on a fabulous new outfit. Feeling her best, she wrapped up her visit the only way that made sense: by stopping to say hello to the rat shrine at the front of the thrift store. Respect where respect is due.

Pru reminds us of something we love about creative reuse: there’s always something new to discover, whether you’re looking for craft supplies, a good book, a new look, or a new friend. The best finds are often the ones you don’t expect.

Want to see Pru’s grand tour for yourself? Watch her video here, then come follow in her pawprints. Stop by the store, say hi to Molly, and don’t forget to pay your respects to the rat shrine.

Thanks for the visit, Pru. Come back anytime!
